Mozilla Firefox 4 beta 9 available for download
Mozilla Firefox 4 beta 9 is out for the general public, taking us one step closer to the final stable release version of the popular Web browser from Mozilla. The beta 9 release of Firefox 4 is reportedly the final beta of the Mozilla browser with a stable release version expected by end of February i.e. next month.
Mozilla claims it has fixed 662 bug fixes in Firefox 4 beta 9, a significantly lower number compared to the 1400-odd bugs fixed in Firefox 4 beta 8 release. It is entirely possible that the current beta 9 release of Mozila Firefox 4 would be its last before a release candidate, even though Mozilla has a 10th beta version for Firefox 4 as per its schedule.
The Firefox 4 beta 9 release includes only minor changes including couple of performance improvements. However, Mozilla warned its development team that there were still too many "hard blocker" bugs -- potential showstopping flaws that should be fixed -- if Firefox 4's stable version is to be released as per planned in February.
