HTC Launches HTC Desire HD, HTC Desire Z

HTC has unveiled two new phones, the HTC Desire HD and the HTC Desire Z, along with the new functions like HTC Sense (improved) and HTCSense.com. From the specification that HTC has revealed of HTC Desire HD, we can easily say that this phone is one of the best HTC phones launched so far. The HTCSense.com is a much needed service offered by HTC which will help users take complete control of their HTC phones. Let us check the specifications of the two new phones in detail.





HTC Desire HD


HTC Desire HD has a huge 4.3-inch LCD display. It is powered by 1GHz Qualcomm 8255 Snapdragon processor. In terms of audio, the phone has Dolby Mobile and SRS virtual sound. HTC Desire HD has 8 megapixel camera with 720p HD recording and dual-flash. HTC has included a new function called HTC Fast Boot, which let users make calls and check mails quickly. The phone runs on Android 2.2 (Froyo) and has internal storage of 1.5 GB and has 768 MB of RAM.




HTC Desire Z

HTC Desire Z is a Touchscreen QWERTY phone. The phone has display size of 3.7-inches and resolution of 480 x 800 WVGA and runs on Android 2.2 (Froyo). The HTC Desire Z has 5 megapixel camera with auto focus and flash and 720p HD video recording. The phone has 800MHz Qualcomm 7230 processor with 1.5 GB of internal memory and 512 MB of RAM.






HTCSense.com and HTC Sense

HTC has included new features in HTC Sense, including a new camera functions, which will allows users to record HD videos or capture and edit images with a variety of fun camera effects. Many changes have been made to HTC Locations as well for easy navigation of maps.

HTCSense.com is a new feature introduced by HTC which helps users do a lot with their phone, even when they don’t have phone in their hand. Users can locate their phone lying around in house (even if it is on Silence, it will ring) through their personal computer with the help of this function. Stolen phone can be locked, traced, as well as cleaned if needed remotely from HTCSense.com. Also, users can apply new themes, wallpapers, sounds and plug-ins through this function.

HTC has not declared and price of these phones yet, but has revealed that these phones will start shipping from October this year in major European and Asian markets. HTC Desire Z will be shipping in North America later this year.
