Facebook Pages: New look, improved features unveiled

If you run a Facebook Page for a brand or business, you might've already seen Facebook's announcement about the all new Facebook Page layout and features at the top of your business or personal page. Just for the record, Facebook is making changes to Pages with a new layout which is more consistent with a regular Facebook's user profile.

PC World India's Facebook page already reflects the changes to the frontend that will be enforced by March 10 for every Facebook page. Yes, just like Facebook gave users an option to try the redesigned Facebook profile, Facebook will force every page to the new layout in early March.

In the new Facebook page layout, the existing tabs at the top of the page are removed and links are located on the left-side below your Facebook Page's profile photo. Just like the new Facebook user profile, the most recent images uploaded on your Facebook page will appear in a horizontal strip at the top.

According to Facebook, there are more than just cosmetic changes to brand Pages in store for users. "You can choose to receive notifications about fan activity, Like and comment on other Pages as your Page, and get your own News Feed where you can engage with the latest and most important news from other Pages you like," Facebook said.

The move is aimed to empower Facebook Page admins and contributors better means of communication than the existing setup.

Also in the redesigned Facebook Page layout and options, the "Everyone" filter on the Page's wall provides a new way for followers to see the most interesting posts first -- however, this may break the chronology of updates.
