Facebook page lets you complain about Pune bus drivers

Pune's road authority are harnessing Facebook's social power to crack the whip on dangerous road drivers in the city. PMPML or Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited has started a new Facebook page encouraging people to police Pune's road on their behalf and post pictures of drivers who break the law while driving in the city.

What's more, to ensure maximum participation of responsbile citizens accessing PMPML's Facebook page, anyone who reports a rash driver with photographic evidence confirming the driver was talking on the mobile phone while driving his/her vehicle will be awarded with a price of Rs. 1,000.

According to the Times of India, this isn't PMPML's first such initiative. Before its Facebook campaign, PMPML had requested commuters to report bus drivers who use mobile phone while driving in an effort three years ago.
